Update February 2009
![]()
We are limiting the posting of videos
in this section to general site specific videos. Let’s reserve this section for
productions that have been taken by Way Corps members and their families,
vacations, travel, sports, music, etc. that are directly related to lives of the
Way Corps or the Way Corps experience. I
do not wish to post videos in this section that that are promoting a product, service, politics,
ministry, religion, business or other agenda. Those may be posted --
but you must post them on your own personal page as described below,
not in this open videos section. please.
Problem - Ning limitations
Ning has designed this site so that there is not
much choice in the Video area. They have one video section for all site members.
This is not user friendly for our purposes. We are hoping
that NING will one day have more choice for video and that each member can have
his own Video section on his own page. Until then, in the spirit of the Way
Corps site, I must limit what is publicly posted in the video section for the
same reasons I do so in the Main Forum section on the main page.
Solution
Can members express themselves with
video even if it is not “site specific”?
Absolutely!
They can and should do so. I highly encourage more posting
of videos. In fact I look forward to seeing some more of the awesome ones that
our members have already posted.
How to post Videos that are not “site specific”
It’s easy. Just post the video on your own page
on a
Blog. The Blog format allows others to leave comments about it.
Here is a
recent example of a Blog which contains lots of videos.
It is easy to imbed the video or add a link to your video right in your blog
post. Take a look at this instructional video which shows how to imbed a video.
Videos already posted
If you have posted video in this section in the
past which may not fit the above criteria, please move them at your convenience
to an appropriate Blog on your own page.
I apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and
understanding. Contact me as needed.
